Premier Inn, Ipswich received its practical completion certificate at the end of February. Within half an hour the Premier Inn team had moved into the building to prepare for opening. The hotel will open in the middle of March.Tolly Brewery, Ipswich

The Tolly Brewery site in Ipswich received outline planning permission last week. It was unanimously voted for approval by the planning committee. The site will form a 'book-end' to LBY's Cranfiled Mill scheme which is at the other end of Ipswich dock. The Tolly Brewery site will consist of the old brewery building (a listed building), a super-market, some hotel accommodation and a cultural building: possibly Suffolk Archives and/ or the Suffolk Transport Museum.
Over the next few months, the scheme will be developed through to detailed planning.
